Mariners Game Report - April 13-15/2007
"GO". I'm talking about The Great Commission. That's why this blog is called "God Adventures". It takes Guts (yours) & Glory (His). Because it's ALL about Him.
Here is the weekend report. The schedule tracts for the Mariners game are finally in! Everyone tracted an average of 300-500 tracts per seed sower! Do I hear a "Praise God" out there somewhere?!! Very few of them were tossed away when we left the stadium and I'm pretty sure that most of these tracts will still be with people for several months because the Mariners Schedule is in the tract. We all had a wonderful time with a lot of good reports.
There are several incidents worth mentioning & recognizing. They show what a BIG God we serve and how He will make a way if you are obedient to do what He asked us to do.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations ... teaching them to observe all that I commanded you ....". It's the last thing He asked us to do before He ascended to Heaven.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Over the weekend approximately 4300-4500 tracts were passed out and I think only a few angry responses. Pretty good for 1.5 hours at each game.
2. Tract everyone. I mean EVERYONE. One seed sower tracted one of the vendors (but didn't know she was a vendor until later) who asked if she could take some back INTO the stadium in case anyone wanted any tracts. Can she take some to take inside the stadium?!! Oh yeah!!
3. One of the seed sowers noticed a camera crew there for FSN (local subsidiary of Fox Sports News). Nervously, she walked away from the director & camera man. Then directed by the Holy Spirit, she turned back and obediently tracted them both. The director looked at the schedule & asked if it was from the Mariners organization. She replied, "no, but to read the back of the schedule". To her horror, they did read it - right away! You know that feeling, don't you?! ;-P Then the most unbelievable thing happened - they asked her for an interview to explain it on camera! The seed sower was overjoyed yet naseous at the same time. But another fellow seed sower spoke on camera to share the gospel (brilliantly) in a short amount of time. This shows the importance of being prepared, having a gospel presentation ready. What would you have done?
Afterwards she was speaking to the crew & found out that they were Christians & talked to them about the Gospel and salvation. A special shout-out to John (director) & Nick (cameraman) for filming footage & allowing us to speak about God's redemptive plan to potentially thousands of people watching at home. Now that's a BIG God!

Can you please pray about that God would send laborers to the harvest field? It's souls, it's all about Jesus & what He came and He died for. Thank you!
Matthew 9:36-38 (NKJV)
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
